Campaign Story

My name is Nisha and my husband’s name is Nick. We met December 2020 and have been inseparable ever since. After one year of dating my husband proposed and we got married soon after. Life has been wonderful. I have a child from a previous relationship and he is one of the best blessings of my entire life!

Unfortunately, life has hit a snag and my partner and I have found ourselves struggling with infertility. I was diagnosed with Pcos (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) about two years ago. I’ve struggled with horrible symptoms. Facial acne, body acne, excessive hair growth on my arms and legs, moon face, fatigue etc. You name it, I have it except for facial hair growth! I’ve been blessed not to have that symptom. I’ve been told to take birth control to control my menstrual cycle.

I’ve been put on metformin and diet and exercise! Luckily my period regulated itself after taking ovasitol and after taking metformin for a couple months. Haven’t been on either for almost a year. Haven’t gained any weight but I also haven’t lost much. I find myself jealous of everyone around me that’s able to have baby after baby. I feel like a failure. My son asks for a brother and my husband for another son. I want them to have that. My body has other plans. My husband has no kids (biological) and all I want to do is to make him a daddy and make my son a big brother. Here’s a little back story on my husband and why having a baby is important to our entire family. Especially his family.

My husband has had it rough since age 11. He was hit by a garbage truck while getting off the school bus at age 11. He wasn’t supposed to make it! He’s had 27 surgeries and almost lost his arm! He’s a walking miracle! He was told he may never have kids! Guess what? He’s healthy and can have children. I’m the one holding up the process now. So please help us! It would mean so much to our little family! Every penny, every nickle, every dime, and quarter matters. It allows us to get one step closer to our baby!
